Mary served 22 years with the Texas Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and including deployments to Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. During her service she received the Bronze Star Medal and 2 Meritorious Service Medals. During that same time she has been an architect with Corgan, rising through the ranks to become a Principal and Senior Practice Advisor.

Guy served 10 years with the United States Marines as a Platoon Guide & Sergeant and received the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat Valor for his heroic achievements. In 2015 he completed 5,862 pullups in 24 hours to break the Guinness World Record in partnership with Spike’s Veterans Operation Wellness. He is a life coach and a successful small business owner of Crossfit Rev40 in the Dallas area.

Assistant Chief Ramirez has been with the Dallas Police Department more than 25 years, starting in patrol and working his way up to Detective in narcotics, Sergeant of Police with major Crimes, Lieutenant over the Criminal Intelligence Unit, Deputy Chief of Police and now Assistant Chief of Police. He leads DPD’s legislative efforts – representing the Department in Austin as the legislative liaison.

Retired Lieutenant Steve Maddox served with Dallas Fire Rescue for 37 years and his wife, Chaplain Elaine Maddox, began volunteering with Dallas Fire Rescue almost 40 years ago and became their chaplain in 2010. Chaplain Maddox has received awards from Dallas Fire Rescue, Texas State Association of Firefighters and the International Association of Firefighters. Steve and Elaine have been married for more than 44 years.

Arturo was a Detective and Dallas Police Officer for 11 years before being promoted to Sergeant. He was one of the organizers for the first of its kind Blue for Black Lives Matter protest and march in Dallas, which was a unified effort of the Black Police Association and the National Latino Law Enforcement Organization. He is also one of DPD’s Latino Community Liaison Officers and UNIDOS Coordinator. This program provide assistance to the Spanish speaking residents in the Dallas area.
